Linda Ellen Price is a prolific artist, painting both imaginative art and portraits. Her paintings vary from works in sepia to bright vivid color. Painting mainly in oils, Ms. Price is widely known for her imaginative depictions of people and animals in action. She often conveys a figure or an animal with only a stroke of her brush. Her work is in both corporate and private collections in the United States, Canada, South America and Europe. Linda Ellen studied with Russian artist Max Heldman.

Portraits range from whimsical impressions of people with their pets to more serious interpretations showing skill in capturing the likeness of her subjects. Her painting “Corner Conversation” is in the permanent collection of the Huntsville Museum of Art. Her work has been featured in publications including: American Art Collector, Pink (Hilton Head Island), Veranda, Artists and Galleries of the South, Birmingham Magazine, and La Vie Clare.

I am honored to be asked to paint again for ArtBLINK. I have, as many of you, had several members of my family and friends diagnosed with cancer. Some of them, thanks to the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, are survivors. The work going on with such intensity, to do research, treat and save so many people is awesome. The hope that one of my paintings can contribute to the great monetary needs of this wonderful facility is both humbling and inspiring.
