FIESTA BALL 2012 Now in its sixth year, the annual Fiesta Ball, hosted by the

Young Supporters Board of the UAB Comprehensive Cancer

Center, has become one of Birmingham s most popular events

among young professionals. This year s event, held May 3 at B&A

Warehouse, entertained more than 400 guests and raised more

than $60,000 toward the board s Young Investigator Grant, sup-

porting the research of a deserving junior scientist at the Cancer

Center. The ball also featured a silent auction that raised an addi-

tional $5,600 for the board s patient and family service activities.
