Throughout the year, the Young Supporters Board of the UAB

Comprehensive Cancer Center plans events and activities

through its patient and family services committee for cancer

patients at UAB. This includes providing dinners for patients

and their families staying at the American Cancer Society s

Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge, delivering healthy snacks to

the center s inpatient units and bringing special treats to

patients during the holidays. The committee, led by co-

chairs Lauren DeMoss and Jessica Jones, works closely with

Cancer Center staff to provide a comforting experience for

all cancer patients and their families.
