The National Cancer Institute also has e-book versions of popular patient education publications available on its mobile website, making it easier than ever to download and read them on your smartphone, tablet, or e-reader device! Just follow the directions below:
--To see the E-Book Library list on your smartphone, tablet, or e-reader, go to the e-book page on the regular website: www.cancer.gov/ebooks.
--Once you reach the e-book page, click the name of the book you want. The next page will have two links for that title, one for the Kindle format (called .mobi) and one for a format (called .epub) that will work with all other e-reader devices (Nook, Sony e-Reader, Kobo, etc.). NOTE: If you have a smartphone or tablet, your device may have an e-book reader app pre-installed. You can also install one of many free smartphone and tablet apps.
--Click the format that will work with your device or reader app to download and open the file.
New e-books are being added regularly, so check back often!
