The UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center is dedicated to providing excellence in volunteer service and support to patients, families, faculty, staff and community partners with care, integrity and compassion. Through our committed and caring volunteer team, we provide innovative, effective volunteer support services dedicated to improving the quality of life of cancer patients.

Volunteers come to UAB’s Comprehensive Cancer Center for many reasons. Some are cancer survivors who wish to offer the gift of hope and inspiration to others. Some are students who are hoping to gain valuable patient contact experience for their future clinical careers. Others are simply interested in giving back to the community and helping where needed.
