UAB: Comprehensive Cancer Center

Join an all-star collaboration of Alabama's cancer-related organizations on Friday, June 1, as they host "Celebrating Life," a National Cancer Survivors Day celebration with the Birmingham Barons. This year's event will feature educational opportunities, children's activities, giveaways and more! Come cheer the Barons as they take on the Chattanooga Lookouts and help us recognize the thousands of cancer survivors who are celebrating life!

The first 200 cancer survivors will receive a free t-shirt and ticket to the game!

Survivor tickets and t-shirts will be available at the front gate of Regions Park on the day of event as long as supplies last. Call (205) 934-0034 with any questions.

Why:
National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual, global Celebration of Life that is held in hundreds of communities during the first weekend in June each year. Participants unite in a symbolic event to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful and productive. Since 2010, the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center has partnered with our Community Roundtable organizations and other UAB centers to host a community, fun-filled free event for survivors and their families.

We will also have an honor wall at the event in order for attendees to honor a loved one who has battled cancer. If you would like to do so, just click the link below and fill out the form, and we will feature their name on our honor wall!
