The UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center will launch the first of their fall 2011 educational programming with a Patient and Family Orientation Class.

 

Patients and their families can learn how to communicate their questions and concerns to health professionals, who to call when they need help, information, or resolution, how to navigate the UAB campus, learn about resources that provide support through the cancer journey, and how to manage side effects of cancer treatment while maintaining good nutrition for better health outcomes.


Classes will be held 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Oct. 4, 11, 18, and 25 and Nov. 3, 10 and 17 at the Comprehensive Cancer Center board room in the North Pavilion.
