The UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center is partnered with Tuskegee University and the Morehouse School of Medicine in a research collaboration designed to attack disparate rates of cancer mortality among African-Americans.
This research triangle is an effort of the National Cancer Institute, which pairs federally designated comprehensive cancer centers such as UAB and institutions of higher learning that historically serve minorities.
At UAB, these efforts are led by Drs. Upender Manne, Isabel Scarinci, Edward Partridge and Mona Fouad. For more information, visit the partnership’s website at www.uab.edu/msm-tu-uabcccpartnership.
