The purpose of the Retreat is to stimulate interdisciplinary research collaboration and development among Cancer Center members.
The meeting program includes presentations by experts in the field of microbiome and cancer research from HHMI and University of Colorado, New York University School of Medicine, Baylor College of Medicine and the Texas Children's Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine, and UAB. Cancer research will be highlighted in morning and afternoon Poster Sessions, with the most outstanding posters competing for one of fifteen cash awards. The Cancer Center Shared Facilities will be on display with personnel on hand to discuss services available to cancer researchers. The meeting will conclude late afternoon with presentation of the awards for the poster competition and a reception.
A continental breakfast and lunch are included for registered meeting participants.
This event is free and open to members of the UAB and Southern Research scientific research community.
