Harvest for Health is a National Cancer Institute-funded trial that will test whether a home vegetable garden improves the overall health and well-being of 426 cancer survivors throughout Alabama.
All participants will receive gardening supplies, plants, and seeds. Master gardeners from the Cooperative Extension will provide monthly mentoring. Everything is free of charge and home-based (no need to come to UAB).
Cancer survivors must live in Alabama and be 65 years of age or older.
